Dear Reader,

Nothing smutty here today, but I have an announcement.

Tomorrow I’m undertaking this year’s NaNoWriMo challenge. Now, ordinarily I would simply tweet this fact and leave it at that. This year, however, my NaNo project has a different goal, and that’s why I’m writing.

I’d like to introduce you to my friend, Michael Bekemeyer. He’s an independent filmmaker, a writer, and a fantastic guy. He’s raising money for a film project, working through the social networks of Twitter and the like.

Well, occasionally I get big ideas. And this is my idea.

This year, I’m writing as a fundraiser. For every penny pledged up to $500 I will write a word. That totals 50K words, which is the goal of a NaNoWriMo project. Additionally, I’ve every intention of subsequently publishing the project and donating the proceeds of that to the cause. Perhaps, even publishing print editions to be ordered as signed copies(hmm…I think Michael should have to sign those with me, don’t you?)

So. Will you help? Will you join in? Michael is an incredibly talented artist, and I truly feel that he deserves to have the opportunity to create his film.

Being me, this all is coming together in the 11^th hour. But look for some sort of link or button for donations soon. I will also see if I can’t find a way to put a progress meter up.

I hope you’ll support myself and Michael in this endeavor. I think it would be fantastic to be able to say that a crowd-sourced erotic patronage(as described by @Nobilis) helped make a film. Don’t you?
